Version Properties

Version number:

The number you want to give the version. Generally this value is something like 2.1 or 2.0.0.1.

Source folder:

The folder where Visual Patch can find all files that are part of this version. You can click the Browse button to select a folder from your system.

Recursive

Whether or not to recurse subdirectories when adding the version's files. If this option is checked, Visual Patch will add all files within any subfolders of the Source folder. If this option is not checked, only files in the root of the Source folder will be added.

Key file:

The file you want to designate as a key file for the version. Key files are files unique to each version that are used to identify what version of the application is on the user's system. For example, this file may be the application's executable that usually changes between versions.
