The following memory settings only apply to the differencing engine in Visual Patch and do not apply to Visual Patch's interface requirements. For example, setting the max virtual memory to 512 MB will mean the differencing engine won't use more than 512 MB, however the total memory used by Visual Patch might go beyond 512 MB due to features like the file lists and the build output log.
Note: The amount of memory used by the differencing engine depends on the size of the largest file in your project. (The number of files in your project does not matter.)
Tip: If you get an "Out of Memory" error with plenty of memory free, it is most likely due to the number of files in your project. If your project contains thousands of files, try turning off verbose logging in the Build preferences to prevent the build output from growing too long.
